Symbol Help Please !

After caravanning for nearly 40 years and now being on my own I recently decided to get a 'new to me' Symbol. Still struggling a lot with my first motorhome/campervan especially how I will ever get all the things that I have 'collected' since caravanning in to it !
Have now sorted most things on the Symbol but 2 things things that it came with I'm still not sure of. The first on the left is a pouch containing a metal circular disk with three 3 threaded inserts plus fittings. The second is what looks like a small plastic spanner. I would be extremely grateful if somebody could explain what these are for. Many thanks. Bill

I haven’t got one of those pouches on the left and I’ve had my Symbol from new. I have got one of those spanners although I’ve never used it and can’t remember what it’s for! The tap spout filters maybe?

And now you can't cheat with a car to hide a load as well!
Minimalism and simplicity is all!!
Good Luck

I take it back, I do have one of those pouches! If it’s any help, the 3 holes line up with the wheel nuts.

Re: Symbol Help Please !
The bag is the adapter plate for fitting the steel spare wheel, replacing an alloy.
Steel and alloys have different fittings apparently.

The spanner is for a Truma regulator.

I have one of these pouch in my Warwick Duo. I gather they are for the spare wheel carrier under the van if you want to store the alloy wheel in place of the metal one. Would you want to put the alloy wheel back underneath after having a puncture.

I have one of those circular plate thingies and I too was unsure what it was for, now I know.
On a slightly separate point, I tried to undo the wheel nuts with the kit provided without success. When the MH was serviced recently, I asked them to check the tightness of the wheel nuts thinking they may have been overtightened in the past. I was told they were at the correct level of 160 NM. The mechanic suggested I obtain a specialist 21mm wheel nut brace with long handle because the Boxer provided tools were never going to undo the nuts in the event of a flat tyre.

In the middle of nowhere, when you just have to be somewhere by a specified time, it's my problem. I'm now intending to obtain a breaker bar and 21mm socket in the hope such calamities can be easily remedied - and without loss of no claims bonus.Weegie wrote:Crashman wrote:The mechanic suggested I obtain a specialist 21mm wheel nut brace with long handle because the Boxer provided tools were never going to undo the nuts in the event of a flat tyre.
