Split/Stable Habitation door - Nuevo
On our caravans (Swift) we have a split or stable habitation door. Her indoors likes that as she can be in the van with the dog and have the top part of the door open and the dog cant get out.
On our little 2004 Nuevo it has a single habitation door. So to overcome this I found a thin piece of plywood (I think 3 mm ish) and cut it to size so it can be slid in a grove at the bottom of the hab door near the step. You then open the hab door and pin it back. The piece of plywood stops the dog getting out, when you want to get out you just slide it up or go out the 'van doors'. Ours is a small dog by the way. I have ordered some drawing board clips to hold it at the top. It can stay in place while driving and seems to work well. I like simple solutions like this and as an old mate of mine says 'Make it at home for nothing'
