Cleaning Sofa covering
Has anyone had occasion to clean the fabric upholstery covering the sofa in a PVC?
I have a Warwick Duo though I think the sofa covering will be similar on all the PVC's.
I managed to spill half a bottle of beer on the sofa and it has left a slight stain.
I noticed the cover is zipped and can be removed quite easily so my first thought was to chuck it in the washer when I get home. Later on I thought maybe dry cleaning would be more sensible but the fact is I don't really know.

Yes, same colour upholstery too but it was food stains, not beer. I cleaned ours with a high degree of success using car upholstery cleaner - can’t remember the make - applied and rinsed as per the instructions. It needed a soft brush to get into the weave of the material. The fabric has a rubbery backing so probably not suitable to machine wash. You can unzip a scatter cushion to see the composition.

I can tell you that even water puts a stain on them, I did contact the manufacturer about it and they supplied a can of what they use to clean marks off, I'll go and take a picture tomorrow and post, however I haven't tried it yet so don't know if it actually works.

I did wonder if it was worth having the fabric treated with Scotchgard or similar. The dealer tried to sell it to me but I didn’t like the price they were asking.

The cover may have a zip but you wi have to remove and replace all the buttons, normal inserted through the foam with a tool - not easy to find the same hole through the foam on replacement.

I cleaned all the furniture on our Talisman yesterday with a Rug Doctor carpet cleaner with upholstery attachment. It has done an amazing job and I did all the carpets and curtains too.

Scotch guard stain remover/upholserty cleaner foam is brilliant. It get stains out of anything and a permanent fixture in our van. I had someone who spilled water on front sofa, left a ride mark but removed easily by scotchguard. Then , as someone mentioned.....use the scotchguard protector spray.

This is what the manufacturers use to clean stains off, however NO make on the can.

Come on Paul we need your photo app skills to identify maker.
Would be really handy to know a supplier of this cleaner.
