I had a look at this today Paul and it states on the box that it is not suitable for Motorhomes or Caravans.Paulmold wrote:£12.99 , 7 year sensor, replaceable batteries (up to 3 yr claimed). In store from Thursday or order online now.
I can't think why, unless it has something to do with a smaller space.
Any thoughts?

I don't understand it either as their website says it is suitable for any domestic situation. Surely a caravan or motorhome is a domestic situation.

Sorry, Paul but you have brought out the pedant in me early todayPaulmold wrote:I don't understand it either as their website says it is suitable for any domestic situation. Surely a caravan or motorhome is a domestic situation.
Domestic comes from the Latin root domus meaning house.
Of course, many of us do think of our campers/motorhomes as a house on wheels.
And although motorhome includes home, this comes from the same Old English root as ham (as in hamlet, BirmingHAM, etc) meaning a place where people settled. Which is ironic as our motorhomes encourage a nomadic rather than settled habitation.
OK, I'll go back to sleep now.

I've reread the website details and the exact words are 'ideal in all living space'.
