My 60th edn Broadway, step always deploys when doors unlocked, dont really like that, it does not retract when doors are locked.
There probably is a way of changing it to operate only on inside switch , must find out.

Re: 2021 Nuevo Step
My step deploys and retracts when the habitation door is unlocked and locked using the remote. The only times it won't do this are when either the EC700 or vehicle electrics are shutdown. Importantly the step retracts when the engine is started.Richard G wrote:My 60th edn Broadway, step always deploys when doors unlocked, dont really like that, it does not retract when doors are locked.

Step
I had the same problem with a 2019 Broadway since new. Constantly blowing the 10 A fuse. Dealer couldn't help and AS didn't even reply (under warranty!). I replaced the fuse with a 15A one two years ago and it's been fine since then. Not an ideal resolution though as I had heard that there was a modification to stop the fuse blowing.

Re: 2021 Nuevo Step
It seems that it is possible to access the Advanced Systems on the EC700 and change the Step operation. The only link that I could find easily was for the Autotrail set up but I think it is the same as AS in this respect. Perhaps it might be of help to someone ?
Do read carefully before trying it though!
Edit: Caraman's link above also refers to the AdvancedSystem settings, so apologies for any duplication!

Re: 2021 Nuevo Step
My dealer (Marquis) couldn't solve the fuse problem. This was in part why I started to take all my problems to the AS Service Centre at Willersey who are a couple of hours away (and in a nice part of the world). They were also flummoxed by it so they spoke to Sargent at Beverley who suggested changing the step setting under Advanced Settings and its been fine ever since. I'm not an electrician but I would not advise fitting a higher rated fuse.simontm1959 wrote:I had the same problem with a 2019 Broadway since new. Constantly blowing the 10 A fuse. Can you share the changes to the advanced settings? Otherwise, I will contract Sargent directly. Thanks

PS - I changed the fuse setting on the advice of the dealer's service dept - that was as much advice as they could give!

I wouldn't trust this advice if it came from a Marquis dealer. Of course if Sargent recommend it, that would be different.simontm1959 wrote:PS - I changed the fuse setting on the advice of the dealer's service dept - that was as much advice as they could give!

Re: 2021 Nuevo Step
I have a 2021 Nuevo and I had the same problem with the step blowing the 10 amp fuse. Took it back because the Leisure Battery was also fusing. Apparently, it is a known fault and just needs a fuse with a a larger ampage. Not sure if that is a word!! The dealer replaced the fuses with 20 amp fuses and I have had no problem since then!!! Touch wood. Even gave me some spares.

Re: 2021 Nuevo Step
I don't know about your Nuevo which might have a LiIon battery, but the in-line leisure battery fuse on mine already is 20A just as the vehicle battery fuse is 20A. The No 10 fuse on the EC700 was 10A and still is in accordance with Sargent's specifications and it doesn't blow anymore.DstokeM wrote:I have a 2021 Nuevo and I had the same problem with the step blowing the 10 amp fuse.
