control panel on my Surrey MH
all,
newbie needing assistance - i have owner my AS - Surrey for 12 month, 2010 merc - at the weekend the lights tripped (strangely the plug in on the camp site did not have a trip on the panel), however i managed to re set the lights via the circuit breaker box, however the control panel at the side of the door is now scrolling through the settings & ticking ?, i have been told to disconnect it & leave it 5 mins reconnect to allow it to reset, although i have no idea how to remove the control panel, any ideas,

Which CP do you have. If Sargent type, lever the frame from the bottom, pops off. Remove two screws, pull off plug, careful pins are small and fragile.

On Sargent control panels, you should be able to achieve the same effect by disconnecting it from both leisure and vehicle batteries for a short while, by removing the appropriate fuses.

Disconnecting the vehicle battery on my MB Gloucester doesn't affect the radio, code is in the EMU. You might need to reprogramme the electric windows, easy down/up on the switch, done, and reset the dash clock.

You should not need to disconnect the batteries. As I said, you should just need to remove the appropriate fuses.Andy Liles wrote:if i disconnect the batteries, will it not cause issues with the van (radio ect)
It's a good exercise (IMO) because it gives you the opportunity to find where the fuses are on your specific van. You may need to access them at a later date.
