Control panel issue on my neuevo 2008es
Hi everyone
Has anyone else had a problem with the control panel on their 2008 Nuevos? I have just bought one and on the two occasions I have been away it has faded so you can hardly see the screen and then gone completely blank so I couldn't switch anything on. Then its as right as rain and behaves beautifully . The dealer I bought it from says that it will have to be sent to China for repair and I will be without the van for approx 2 months. Its under 6 months warranty. Is there somewhere in the uk I can have the unit sent to ?

Don't know what panel you have (they change so often) but if you can tell us, maybe more answers.

2008 should be an EC325 PSU with CP. Sargent offer a repair service £102.59, or new panel £163.61.
I have a working CP for the EC325, replaced only because it didnt work with the EC328 i needed to substitute when the EC325 went south. Ver 2.1H software.
Happy to sell at significant discount, on sale or return basis. PM if interested.

Re: Control panel issue on my neuevo 2008es
if I remember correctly there should be a wee coin sized battery inside the panel , maybe a CR 126 or something like that ??.
Unclip the front plastic fascia to reveal the unit, should be two screws undue and the unit should come away from its seating. The wee battery will be in the back of it.
I had to replace mine years ago in my 09 Nuevo es, hope I'm correct,if not ,sorry.

Re: Control panel issue on my neuevo 2008es
I wondered whether it might be an MES panel, they used one on 2009 Devon. Someone on here tried to sell a refurbished one a while back but no takers. They put it on ebay, didn't sell, relisted and it went only last week for 99p.

Could be right, but looked at a 2008 and 2009 AS Handbook for Nuevo and they describe the Sargent PSU system.
There is a black round thing on the back, M1295S (5v) which could be a battery, but google doesn,t come up with a replacement option.

Paulmold I think its the one that went for 99p on eBay!! I will look in to replacing the coin sized battery; lets hope its just that. I'll keep you posted. OHHHHH I wish I'd got that spare panel though especially at 99p!

Re: Control panel issue on my neuevo 2008es
I nearly bought it. I watched it through both times it was listed, then thought if nobody here had wanted it and nobody on eBay wanted then I wouldn't be able to sell it but it wasn't bid on until the end so I missed it.
You never know, it might have be bought purely to sell on so may appear on eBay again.

Control panel
I had the same problem about 8 months age,I had left the van a while with out plugging electric in.
So I went to halfods & brought the battery, when I got back the screen had re-appeared & been fine since.
I don’t know if by not having it plugged in caused it to go blank?.
