Very happy Trident owner!!!
Well I must say a big thank you to this site you helped me so much in my hunt for my Trident.... I think I only posted a couple of weeks ago and have used your expert knowledge to help me find my lovely campervan.
I'm from Nantwich in Cheshire and picked my 1994 2.4 Trident up from Manchester today.... lovely drive home in the sunshine believe it or not! Had a great day showing family and friends who are very envious; don't blame them.
Have some work to do on the few rust spots and its going in for a cam belt change and full service on Monday ready for the trips I have planned ahead. The inside is immaculate... very careful previous owners.
Need to try and work out how to put photos on ... have failed but will try again.
Looking forward to driving it to school... I'm sure I can squeeze a lesson to 6/7 years olds out of it.... after all its nearly the end of term!!!
This is a great site.... looking forward to being a member

Awwww congrats
Lucky class having a teacher like you. I would have loved seeing something like that as a lesson - we got to garden, sweep the classroom (as girls) and the boys got to stoke the boiler all day most of these as treats.
Will look out for you (will know your big grin) as your local to me

Our first van was a Trident, we loved it. Great van to tour in. Got as far as Italy in ours, Cortina, Lake Como etc. The 5 cylinder engine is smooth in the vw T4 you now own. Enjoy.

Hi Caroline,
Glad you found something you are happy with, now take your time as it's your turn for lessons on how everything works, and what you can and can not do!
The one things about camper vans is that there is always a compromise, and always more than one way to do most things.
The secret is to enjoy, be versatile, and do not worry about a thing there is always tomorrow, even if you are stuck, you can make a cup of tea, and have a nap!
Life is pretty good whichever camper van you have.
Good luck & enjoy

Re: Very happy Trident owner!!!
I've been having plenty of lessons!! Me and dad have been looking over everything this morning, keep having to say let me do that as I need to do it by myself out on the road!! Just worked out how to empty fresh water tank and waste water - checked all tyre pressures including spare - torque was too tight on wheel nuts so will have to leave that job for garage tomorrow!!
All good fun - time for a break now and watch the tennis with a glass of wine!!!

Hi Caroline,
Looks great, and I assume you were drinking the wine whilst your slave was checking the wheel nuts!
Hopefully we will all have plenty of warm sunny weather to enjoy our vans later this month, but whatever the weather, keep the fridge stocked, and enjoy our beautiful country ( and Europe of course).

Another very happy Trident owner
Hi There
Just joined - happy story how I acquired my Trident. Bought a new R reg when my first husband died as I gave away the caravan I knew I would never tow - sadly sold it encouraged by son who said I would have more fun with a BMWZ4 - well I did - but now remarried I always yearned for the freedom of my Campervan. Spotted an R Reg Trident on a garage forecourt - the interior had been changed by Autosleepers 27,000 miles on the clock - immaculate! Love it and am happily using it for days out with new husband and dogs. However, too small for all of us for longer holidays so we are buying a caravan as well - I am in seventh heaven!!! Only wish it would stop raining

Thank you - many good wishes to lovely Durham where both my sons spent very happy years at University and the people smile and say hello - unlike Cambridge!

Welcome. My wife and I are from Nantwich, with myself being a dabber and Ann being originally from the Potteries. We are working as seasonal wardens at Hendre Mynach nr Barmouth until November when we are off to plan our travels around Britain throughout 2013.
