kitchen tap leak
the body of the tap in my 2008 Nuevo is leaking causing water to pool around the base of the tap(quite badly) I can see no obvious way of getting into the tap.
Is this a replace or can it be fixed?

is it a single lever one? Is one of the lever moulded as part of the top, there should be a pop out bit below the lever to access a grub screw. It one of the bar type lever,it should unscrew from the body to access the retaining screw.

access on mine looks (at the minute at least ) to be good - I assume that the joint between the tap metal flex hoses and the motorhome plastic hoses is a matter of pushing the collar in and simultaneously pulling the hose out

that appears to be the one, its in three parts the bottom part has the water spout attatched, the middle bit is plain and the top bit has the lifting /swivelling lever.
Im not seeing any bit that looks like it will pop out except the marker that indicated the center position for the lever.
I have now discovered that it only actually leaks when the tap is running - yesturday it looked like it was leaking all the time (much more bothersome) so I will probably leave it until I come back from my jaunts

Is it like this one? Is there not a grub screw at the rear?
Or like this one explained in Peter Brown's post.

Re: kitchen tap leak
yes thats the one but dispite having a good look (and feel) I can find no sign of a grub screw.
I have had a quick look on the web and the Whale elite (which is what it appears to be)is comming up as discontinued.
I suppose that any similar tap designed for a 50mm hole will do

AS seem to have it or similar in their Parts List, page 14.

Re: kitchen tap leak
Had similar tap and leak issue on my 2008 Nuevo. tried new cassette and new `o` rings but seemed the interior body of tap was just old and worn and beyond repair. Quoted £230 by dealer to replace it but checked forum etc and bought new one from Screwfix @ £29.99 and fitted it myself !
It is awkward to get at but, very helpfully, sink comes out easily with just 4 screws and one on plughole + push fit connectors from blue and red plastic supply pipes to metal tap connector pipes take `the right technique` to release but definately a DIY job.
One word of caution, the little leak we thought we had and put up with for ages turned out to have had a bad effect on surrounding worktop which was soaked and had expanded and `rippled` underneath out of sight. It took an age to then dry it out before refitting new tap.
