Re: Water tank won’t fill
No neither seem to work although they have worked before. Control panel displays zero filled flashes when pump is turned on, which maybe why pump is not working?

Re: Water tank won’t fill
I'm not familiar with the 2013 Nuevo and its control panel - perhaps someone else is. It sounds as though that may be where the problem lies. As far as filling the fresh water tank is concerned, do you not have one of these to fit your Whale inlet socket?

Yes I do have one and that was what I originally filled with. I only used hose pipe to drain pipe to release float switch. Thanks for your help

Re: Water tank won’t fill
Does the Whale Aquasource hose fill the tank OK and when the tank is full does the solenoid valve stop the flow or does the tank overflow?

Re: Water tank won’t fill
You seem to have three separate things not working,
Float and solenoid valve
Water level gauge
Pump that feeds the tap
These three things are not interconnected apart from they all work on electricity so it sounds more of a electric problem to me
To start with basics, sorry if you have already checked them
12v habitation electric and water pump buttons switched on at the control panel
Are other electrics working, lights
Can you put the van on hook up if not switch the 12v over to the vehicle battery on the control panel
As you have a multimeter check the state of the leisure battery
Check the 12v fuses on the Sargent electric control box, mine is in the wardrobe but yours maybe somewhere else.
Hope this helps or I might have taken you down the wrong track,
Mike

All of the above has been checked, so I know it is not the electrics, but thank you for trying

Have you checked the fuses in wardrobe and behind the drivers seat ?.After a long lay up I have trouble bleeding the water system i can hear the pump but it cane take several minutes before taps flow properly.

Re: Water tank won’t fill
In your first post you said: When I ry to fill water tank usin hose and whale pump system it takes in some water and then the pump stops and will not take anymore.Caraman wrote:Does the Whale Aquasource hose fill the tank OK and when the tank is full does the solenoid valve stop the flow or does the tank overflow?
From this I assumed the problem was only with the external Whale watermaster pump which has a small length of hose. But are you now saying that when the mains water Aquasource hose is connected to the Whale inlet, water flows for a short time and then stops before the fresh water tank is full, which is also what happens when filling with the external Whale watermaster pump? If this is so I would do what I have done which is to disconnect the solenoid valve and replace it with a short section of pipe. This will allow a free flow of water into the tank. The float valve in the fresh water tank will no longer have any effect on the mains water Aquasource flow so the tank will eventually overflow but that's not a problem. If the float valve is working, power to the external Whale watermaster pump will be cut when the tank is full. If the float valve is not working properly and cuts the power to the external Whale watermaster prematurely, you will still have a problem filling the tank by this method but this could be overcome by shorting out the float switch.

Re: Water tank won’t fill
This is strange one Caraman, the OP says in the original post that the tank pump was only supplying little water to the taps and not working in the later post.
On the filling side I thought that as the external pump worked the battery was not able to maintain the voltage that would keep the solenoid open therefore closing and stopping the pump.
Both systems are separate so I suspected the battery, but the OP says she has tried it on the vehicle battery and hook up and it’s the same.
I still suspect it is an electrical problem but it’s not an area I’m competent in.

Shame the OP doesn’t live near me as I’ve more or less got my head around any faults with this system and yes, ‘I love my whale system’ .
I even carry a length of electrical wire with crock clips on each end so I can bypass various computers for fault finding. (Flipping computers ).

Water Tank Won't Fill
I've had a similar problem with my 2014 Nuevo using a Whale pump to fill the tank. In the filter that Paulmold refers to I found a ball that had stuck with limescale (we have hard water). Cleaned that up and it filled again with no problem - but put a towel around the area as water will leak out!

Filling water tank
Hi Kesellie
When filling the water tank I don't think you need the sargent pump switched on just the sargent main button.
Make sure all taps and shower outlets are open to release any air.
Make sure the whale connector is fitting correctly and you should hear the water flowing into the tank.
Occasionally switch the pump on to check that the water bars are moving up from two ambers to two greens.
Hope this helps.

I have an EC 328 so do not have green or blue light. It has a fill tank option which actives external pump t9 fill tank. This is what stops working.

Re: Water tank won’t fill
Just reading all the posts and I don’t think this has been asked b4. Have you tried filling with a hose into the whale socket using the whale hose adapter? This would negate any issues with the pump as the only operable part of the electrical system would be the solenoid valve. If it still doesn’t work it has to be the solenoid valve failed or the float switch stuck telling it the tanks full. To confirm the tanks not full drain a few buckets of water out of the drain tap first.Kesellie wrote:I have an EC 328 so do not have green or blue light. Thank you have tried with hose. I am coming to conclusion it is solenoid or float switch. I have got somebody coming to see it, thanks again

Re: Water tank won’t fill
In case it's of use I have filled my Nuevo II tank from the drain valve using a hose with a tap connector to secure it to the outlet. I bought a G7928 20mm-30mm Smooth Tap Connector which fits over the end of the drain tap and is secured with a jubilee clip with thumbscrew. A Google search brings up plenty of suppliers.

Re: Water tank won’t fill
I have filled via drain pipe, so now know tank is full but, control panel states it is empty and taps/ pump won’t turn on which I believe is ecause it thinks it is empty. So think it is float switch.

Re: Water tank won’t fill
The float switch only controls power the external pump socket, no effect on the internal pump operation.
