Re: How to store food & pans etc in EK Broadway
A-S has got it right with the Nuevo EK. The seats quickly and easily convert into two single beds of decent length and width. Coupled with two standard Duvalays, that fit snuggly in the o/s locker, we find that the beds are surprisingly comfortable. Having separate sitting and sleeping areas is nice to have and will give more loading space but it will be a bigger, more expensive and heavier van and, if pegged at 3500 kg, less loading margin.

...but thats if you like singles, which are always easier to make (even with Duvalays) than a double...we just happen to like sleeping together, so singles don't do it for us (and many others).
setting up the double in a nuevo (or similar) with proper sheets and a duvet is far more difficult....did it for a year, that was enough.
its certainly possible to have a van with a lounge and a proper bed in a length not dissimilar to the nuevo..
as i said upthread, the proper bed or not is one of the many rehular MH polarising themes...

Not sure why you found it difficult. It takes us less than 5 minutes to make up the double bed in the Neuvo with a mattress topper, sheet and duvet (yes, I timed it). Unmaking it in the morning takes a bit longer, mainly due to vacuum bagging the bedclothes, at about 10 minutes.
Does that seem unduly long?

fraid so....Tony..
because we dont have to do that any more, im afraid it feels/seems like hassle..and could never be persuaded to return to making up beds again.
we dont always get up at the same time, or go to bed at the same time, far easier to manage that when the bed is a seperate entity to the lounge....also different tv (and choice) at each end of the van.
there is no right or wrong way, all choices are as valid as the next, my (original) point was in reference to storage, which started as pots /pans and moved to bedding etc...
