Peugeot Nuevo 2008 ES
Hello Everyone
I have a general question- which the manual does not seem to answer - can I rub the internal cabin heater off the mains without using gas? The dial on the LHS is for igniting the gas and setting the temp .... I don't seem to be able to use the heater just from the mains - am I doing something wrong?

I see that you have online info. but I do recall that you need to heat the van with gas before switching on the electric heater with switch in wardrobe and controlled by the rotary control above the touch control panel. And, of course stopping the gas heating. If you use the blower fan it does take battery power so charging needs to be on.

Re: Peugeot Nuevo 2008 ES
On my van, different model, but same heater, i just flick on the electrical mains heater switch in the wardrobe, then move the rotary to 500 or 1000 or 2000 watts then set the room temp knob.
If you want fan blowing then yes you need to turn on the fan on the heater top, but remember to ensure battery is charging.
during the freezing winter, I leave mine on 500 and thermostat on 6, with no heater fan on, it keeps the chill off the van and stops it smelling damp.

No, there's no need to start it on gas although gas will heat the van quicker if that's what you choose to do.Marshman wrote:I see that you have online info. but I do recall that you need to heat the van with gas before switching on the electric heater with switch in wardrobe and controlled by the rotary control above the touch control panel. Sorry
My apologies, there is no "need" for initial gas heating but my hand book advises it and I find that it helps when starting from cold van and weather.
