Trooper 2 or 2+2

Hi I have not bought a Trooper yet but I've had classic vehicles in the past and joined their owners club so thought I'd get registered.  Anyone any thoughts on whether to buy the 2 or the 2+2 in the 2006/2007 VW Trooper?  Thanks 

It depends on your circumstances more than anything else. If you're a family of 4 with 2 youngish kids then the roof bed could be very useful. But two adults would probably not choose to use it over the main bed. And TBH the roof panels are a bit of a pain to shuffle about.

I'm not sure whether they ever offered the Lowline (if that's the correct name) fabric roof as a 2+2 though, nor what type of roof bed would have been fitted to that.

I've seen much better roof bed options in other vans - where the bed tilts up into the roof while not in use.

It would be a bit cosy with 4 sleeping in a Trooper sized van!!

Our Toyota Hiace Rio with Spacemaker roof was hardly any bigger, and we fitted 5 people in it!
