Mercedes Recall
Got to take my 2019 Bourton to Mercedes main commercial dealer to have brake pipe checked/replaced. Got to travel 50 miles & possibly take a day to fix while I hung around.
Its only done 1200 miles because of the lockdown
It seems all I have done with this expensive beast is either take it to the dealer to have electronics fixed & now this problem.
Thinking a caravan would be a lot less trouble!

Re: Mercedes Recall
Yes must be very frustrating, but it needs checking.
Having been a tugger for over 25 years I most certainly would not go back to towing a caravan, especially at our ages.
My brother still caravans and is forever having to have warranty worked carried out.
So next time you are sitting in your motorhome having a cup of tea in the time it took the kettle to boil you can watch all the caravaners still setting up quite possibly in the rain
Keep safe
Terry

Re: Mercedes Recall
Hi
I have a mercedes winchcombe October 2019 with 1500 miles on clock and have just had the check done at mercedes after getting the recall letters (3 letters) so far.
The recalls (3 of) were for the front brake pipes, a addition to the manual (booklet) regarding the engagement of Park on the automatic gearbox and the last was for the loom getting damaged or caught when revolving the front seats which may have caused the airbag to be triggered while driving
The job was done in three hours at the mercedes commercial garage and they then inform DVLA that the vehicle has been checked.
Hope you find this useful.

Re: Mercedes Recall
Hi Peter
Thank You for that information, I enquired to Mercedes yesterday and they said my 2020 model (which was probably built in 2019) was not on recall, I will check the front swivel seats and what was the advice regarding engaging park.
regards
Alan

Re: Mercedes Recall
Hi
The safety recall for the the seats is to make a aftermarket adjustment to the wiring installation for rotating seats.
The recall is about the Auto-P function as the description in the operator's manual is partially incorrect for the vehicle so you are given a amended booklet.
I think that getting the recall done by mercedes has to be done as they then inform the DVSA that the work has been undertaken.
