Water Tank Blanket Heater
Does anyone else have the problem of the heater blankets coming away from the water tanks. I have to "refit" after every journey, I say refit I am just placing the blanket back onto the water tank as it is still tacky, will it get it seen to when it's serviced.

Re: Water Tank Blanket Heater
I would just buy a good contact adhesive and stick it back with that

There are a couple of threads that will give you all the info you need, someone will soon provide a link. Various successful methods used by many.
My choice was spray glue as I had some in the cupboard, I fixed mine this way and it is still stuck fast.
If I remember, the only ones that came unstuck again were those fixed when taken back to the factory!!!

Re: Water Tank Blanket Heater
That's one problem I have not had, yet.
Never used them anyway, not found how they turn on.
But as Dbvwt says, Wickes glue is good, used it to stick the felt/carpet stuff sounding the windows which kept coming unstuck, but no longer.
Might try it on the cupboard peeling doors, AS replaced one FOC, but seem to have got cold feet now I said all the others are peeling they are talking to their supplier.

Re: Water Tank Blanket Heater
I fixed mine back in place (brand new Warwick XL) and held it there with gaffer tape. Then I got a hair drier, warmed up the mat and pressed the mat on. Still there after a month. Previously I photographed the hanging mat and reported the problem. They said they would order some more glue under warranty (?). Still waiting for the call.Pumpintulip wrote:Does anyone else have the problem of the heater blankets coming away from the water tanks. Toolstation Stixall. Mine came unstuck on Kingham when 6 months old. Haven’t come unstuck since, 2 years now
