Re: Fake road works
The BMW business drivers only switched to Audi's because they were a better tax allowance, still same mentality.

BMW drivers slower than Audis? What planet do you live on?
At an IAM evening lecture given by the Chief Of Everything That Moves On Or Off The Road, we were told that official statistics say that BMWs are involved in more 'accidents' than any other make. Mind you, he said, Audis are catching up. Personally if I see a BMW behind me I head for the ditch, or if I am waiting to come out of a junction and one appears in my telescope on the horizon I turn the engine off and wait till it's long gone.
Having said that, three months ago for the first time this year I did encounter a polite BMW driver sticking to the speed limit so I shouldn't judge every BMW the same.
Threre is a threshold of rain and fog which ought to have a visibility danger level. It is when BMWs are forced to slow down to the speed limit. Everyone else is doing 30 on the motorway.

Re: Fake road works
What I can assure you through many hours stood on the side of the road monitoring traffic flow as a volunteer for Devon and Cornwall police is that Audi drivers statistically, here anyway, are the most likely to be speeding, apart from white van man that is . I even had the joy of nearly being run over by one recently but managed to leap in to the hedge before she hit me.... and she didn't even know she had done it as she sped past at 45mph in a 30mph limit. Fortunately enough there was a BMW parked a little further up the road, a white one... she did stop for that!
