Non Wavers Today
19th April 2011
Spotted an Autosleeper Trooper around 10.45am this morning. Exiting the Roman Camp onto the A148 Cromer to Holt Road, heading towards Cromer. Trooper was white and covered in flower stickers, waved but young guy on board just stared in a bemused manner
Also, Spotted an Autosleeper coachbuilt with couple on board, around 11.20am pretty sure it was a Cotswold? heading out of Sheringham on the Holway Road A1082, again waved but just got a blank expression back
Not one of my better days

I can just imagine the discussion afterwards. Who was that chap? I think I saw him at the Golf Club? No he looks more like our postman etc etc..............
Here is a wave so you don't feel neglected.

Hi Bob
Thanks for the wave
Seriously though, was quite surprised to get blanked by both drivers, perhaps because I was alone?
When me & the missis are together we usually get waved at left right and center

Hi CC,
You may have just answered your own question.

You can't win em all CC
I usually get waved at and I reciprocate. Quite a few non AS owners wave or nod but I'm sure a few on here will agree with me that when your travelling down through France if you had to wave at every campervan/motorhome it would be downright dangerous cos you'd NEVER have two hands on the steering wheel
Last year I was completely ignored just outside Sleaford by a couple in a Trident the same as mine but just a while later just coming into Kings Lynn I was made up when a guy in an absolutely imacculate VW Splitty Camper van gave us a cool nod and wink !
We're not alone with craving recognition ! - I go on The Runnersforum and I've lost count of the number of threads on there about nodding etiquette whilst running

Hi Stevo!
Yes I guess you cant expect each and every single AS owner to spot you, miss them myself sometimes.....
especially when I'm preoccupied with the missis
Have to say though in all honesty, we find it extremely rare not to get waved at by other Auto-Sleeper vehicles, guess thats why we take it to heart when we dont get acknowledged
The best wavers overall "in our experience" are always the seniors

Re: Non Wavers Today
Returned from Kingsbury Water Park C&CC site this a.m.
Several Autosleepers completely ignored my salutation!
In fact nearly all motorhomes ignored my wave.
It was nearly all motorway driving so I assumed this was the reason

Re: Non Wavers Today
we find troopers or tridents for the best part nearly always wave
worst offenders for ignoring waves on our travels are usually auto-sleeper coachbuilt drivers
