Topaz roller blinds repair Empty Topaz roller blinds repair

Post by stuartm Mon Mar 16, 2020 1:25 pm

The 2 large roller blinds on our 2001 Topaz are badly damaged on the sides which means that it is very difficult to pull them up at night. I am considering replacing just the blind material and have found somewhere with some of the manufacturers genuine material in stock. Has anyone on here carried out this sort of repair and can offer advice?

It would appear that the blind on the sliding door will be easy to remove for the repair, but I can see no obvious way to remove the blind on the drivers side. Does anyone have any ideas?

Topaz roller blinds repair Empty TOPAZ ROLLER BLIND REPAIR

Hi Stuartm
I took my 2000 symbol's blinds apart, retensioned the spring return and reassembled. I guess your blinds are similar with the fly screen below and the blind above the window, joined by clips where they meet. ( I could be wrong).I just located every mounting screw there is and undid it.
Once the frame is out, the two rollers and two side channels, it becomes more obvious how it all works. Just go easy when refitting with tightening, the plastics are getting on a bit! Oh and three hands to put it back helps. Cheers.
