Winchcombe omnistor awning size
Hi would anyone know what size Thule panorama fits the Winchcombe as the Omnistor is on the roof. Be really grateful if anyone knows. I think it is size XL but I have been advised L so not sure if Thule have changed their sizes at some point but 2.50 height awning sound too low to me.
Be really grateful if anyone else who has an awning can tell me what size they use. Even another make would give me some idea.Thanks.

It used to be that if you wound the awning out a little and looked on the back of the faceplate there was a label with model number and size.

Re: Winchcombe omnistor awning size
It’s not the omnistor model I need but the height for the awning as you can change the panorama clips to fit other omnistors. I’ve been advised the awning panel height is 250 which sounds way to low to me as the vehicle height is 2.88 and the omnistor is fixed to the roof. I’m rubbish at measuring so just wanted the opinion of someone else with a Winchcombe . Ive been advised Thule size XL Is equivalent to current size L as Thule have changed there size ranges - has anyone heard of this ? I don’t want to make an expensive mistake so thought I’d ask as trying to buy awning second hand.

Re: Winchcombe omnistor awning size
Hi Debbie and welcome to this most friendly and informative forum. If I understand your need correctly, you need to measure the height where the wind out awning exits the Omnistore directly down to the ground. This measurement will only be a centimetre or two less than the height of your Winchcomb given that the Omnistore as stated, is mounted on the roof. This measurement should then identify whether XL, XXL is required as per the Panorama specification.

Hello Debbie, and welcome to the Forum.
e have an Omnistor 6200 fitted to our Winchcome and it's the 4.00m long version. The height is not specified however, ours is fine. It's a 2013 plated van and the awning was fitted from new.
Not sure where you live, however Hill View Awnings Ltd at Sturminster Marshall, Dorset, (https://hillviewawnings.co.uk/) seem to be Thule awning specialists?
Good luck, best wishes, Andy
