How to remove an Omnistor awning from van ?

Hi,
Hoping someone can help please, have discovered a large damp/wet patch in our 1999 symbol camper van, i believe it may be coming from behind the awnings fixings that are bolted to the van. Hoping some one knows how these awnings come off the van from their fixings.
