Keswick C&CC site evacuated
Just read on Facebook that Keswick site evacuated due to serious flooding at 3am this morning. 80 units in a military style operation with lots of police in attendance. Hope any members there are safe and sound. Wondering where you would go at 3am.

....don't think anyone would get very far south, the main A591 is blocked in several places, Grasmere/Ambleside/ Windermere with either water or trees.
A bad time for all areas, not just the Lakes (though we do have a reputation for rain....)

I'm a bit surprised, given the sites history of flooding and the exceptionally poor weather forecast, why so many folk were still on the site. Guess they were all hoping for the best? Whatever it was, having been evacuated from a site at 2am once, I feel very sorry for them.
