Certainly is a rare model - most people just bought a Trident instead!

It might well be past saving to most people Bob, but if I had another workshop to stuff it in, I'd love to tackle it, I had a couple of those era Trannies, LWB, hi top for work, & that one with the 'banana' engine was bombproof, simple, no electronics & easy to work on. Mine seemed to perform the same wether it was fully-loaded or empty, went like stink & it was the most comfy thing I've EVER driven!!

I've had my share of clunkers in my time Lawrie, back in the day I would have crawled all over it in an attempt to put it back on the road , when I said it was past saving, I was referring to myself having a go at itmodelman wrote:It might well be past saving to most people Bob, but if I had another workshop to stuff it in, I'd love to tackle it, I had a couple of those era Trannies, LWB, hi top for work, & that one with the 'banana' engine was bombproof, simple, no electronics & easy to work on. One or two members have rebuilt old vans and put them back on the road over the past few years.
Have a Merry Christmas to you both and hope to see over here for Scones (Filey Brigg entrance is still a slurry pit.

Re: Fancy a project?
That's a rarity mainly from being an auto-box which i must admit, is the one thing which would put me off. Both front wheel arches need replacing but the rear arches appear to be reasonably ok. The underside may well need some work but as a whole, the van is definitely worth saving. Needs a damn good pressure wash first to show the bad bits up easier.Paulmold wrote:[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
I doubt the 800k mileage though!!

It didn't sell and has now been relisted at £2800.

Re: Fancy a project?
The price is still a bit steep but the problem for the seller is finding a buyer who can trailer it or has trade plates.Paulmold wrote:It didn't sell and has now been relisted at £2800.
