Nuevo 09 control panel key fob
I bought Nuevo as last year and was totally unaware that there are over locker lights fitted and that a key fob is needed to operate them. I did not get a key fob when I bought the van, had no idea there was such a thing ,is there anyway round this or Do I have to get one and if so where from?. Can anybody advise as I am used much older and simpler vans

Hi RodandTina
Welcome to the forum from breezy Bridlington ,if I remember correctly, you can operate the lights from your control panel, if you have your instructions manual handy it should explain how to operate the lights and what menu to go too.
Hope this helps.

Re: Nuevo 09 control panel key fob
Hi Boaby,
I can operate all the lights from the control panel except the long strip lights above the side over head lockers, and the manual only mentions them in saying they are operated by the key fob which I have not got, but I will go and have another look
Many thanks

Mmmm! I'm sure we were able to work our neon strips via the CP ? ,,not sure where you would get a remote key fob from, maybe EBay .

Re: Nuevo 09 control panel key fob
Had another look at cp menu ,and there is no option to run the strip lights, does anyone know how to over ride the system to switch them on.
Has any body bought a new key fob and if so where from, have tried Auto sleepers but they so far have not replied

The strip lights only work via key fob on my van, if you need a picture of the key fob I can send one.
When you get your new fob there is a set up option on the control panel to synchronise the fob with cp.

Re: Nuevo 09 control panel key fob
Just to confirm, our 09 Nuevo strip lights only work From the key fob and strangely you have to turn on the outside (awning)light via the cantrol panel before the fob will operate. The fob has two buttons 1) the awning light and 2) the strip lights. Press each button one to turn on and a second time to turn off. As for where you get a replacement, sorry hope autosleeper can help.

Re: Nuevo 09 control panel key fob
They can be hard wired to a switch . . . probably!
When we had a van with that system, the key fob was such a pain in the rear, working sometimes but not very often, that I asked AS at Willersey to fit a simple switch.
There were variants of that system so yours may not be the same, but if you send AS your build number (located in the glove box) they should be able to advise - if you would like to take that route of course.
As you would imagine, we had no further problems. Being able to switch on the lights as you approach the van is a good idea - or is it??? even if it works!!

I must admit I find the key fob light switch for the awning and inside strip lights above the lockers on my 2008 Nuevo very useful when approaching the motorhome in the dark.

Re: Nuevo 09 control panel key fob
Probably a late reply but if it helps we have a 2008 Nuevo with a fob. It is roughly the same size as the ignition fob and has a triangle button and a circle button. One switches on the awning light and the other the over locker lights. Great when approaching in the dark. If you do source one when you get it you need to pair it on the control panel which is easy

A bit late to this but I bought one of these as a spare. It was easy to program from the control panel in accordance with the AS manual. Good luck
