Leisure Battery Replacement
Hello again,
The leisure battery on my van does not seem to have any output at all. This has been a problem ever since owning the van, my electrics work on electric hookup but no output at all on leisure battery. So I am assuming that the battery is original. I was wondering if anyone could suggest the best places to get replacement batteries? that last long and are not too expensive.
Many thanks,
Alex

Used these lots of times over the years. Great company. Have you checked with a meter just in case it’s not the battery before spending money.

Another vote for Tayna batteries - used them a couple if times, good service, great prices.

Great, thanks for that. I will most definitely consider these sites when I come to get my new battery. Have any of you used halfords batteries in the past? If so, would you recommend?
Many thanks,
Alex

Re: Leisure Battery Replacement
There was a chap on here AllaFevans (now sadly deceased) who gave some very forthright advice on batteries and charging issues, not without conflict on occasions. See this
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
as an example thread with some of his advice.
He strongly recommended Alpha as a supplier. Worth doing a search on his username and reading some of the topics to which he contributed - mostly on batteries and charging.
Note to mods: Since battery replacement is a constant topic that affects us all is it worth putting one or two of those posts into the Factsheet section - or is that too much like advertising and therefore partisan?

Re: Leisure Battery Replacement
I have been using Alpha batteries for over 25 years, for my previous MH & several cars, I even had a 1000ah CC unit on a Range rover which failed with only a couple of weeks left on the 3yr warranty, they immediately replaced it, THEN asked me to send back the old one!! ( no cost )
Wouldn't consider any one else.

Tanya without a doubt, next day delivery. the last ones I bought were 2x 90h for my Amethyst last year, at the time. making 180 leisure batteries, more than enough. well worth it.

Very reasonably priced and a decent warranty period.

Re: Leisure Battery Replacement
Halfords own batteries are made by Yuasa. If you have a battery that goes faulty you can take it back to any Halfords branch, a point well worth considering. I live fairly close to Tayna and have bought from them on three occasions, picking up from their place in Abergele. Can't comment on their after-sales service because I've never needed to ask for it.Alex Ingham wrote:Great, thanks for that. Re: Leisure Battery Replacement
I really appreciate all of your comments on this topic. I will probably go for a Halfords battery only because there is a Halfords within 10 minutes drive from my house. Although before purchase I will have a look at the websites that you have recommended and see what is better value.
Thanks again for all of you help on this topic,
Alex
