door speaker. shower tap
hi all. i just recently bought a Neuvo its on a 2006 plate, very clean tbh private sale jobby so a bit cheaper, two things i neeed, firstly a drivers door speaker, i dont know the oohms on the speaker to replace it. I'd like to put some full range ones in, anyone done the convertion, if so what speakers did you buy? next thing is the shower tap, its solid with no movement, looking at it I think it would be a * Inappropriate Word * to change, again has anyone done the job? what tap did you replace it with?
many thanks mikeb59

Re: door speaker. shower tap
Van speakers are almost always 4 ohms these days. Conversion to a better speaker - for example a coaxial design with a separate tweeter in the centre - should be very simple provided you stick to the same size, though personally I don't think it's a good solution in a van, because the speakers are typically down by your knees. IMO it's better to go with a component speaker and mount a tweeter higher up, either in the dash top (if there is a grille to conceal them) or in the A pillar trims.

We had a 2006 Nuevo and the shower tap was a normal mixer with simple movement up and down for flow and left or right for hot to cold. Is yours seized or a different style?

We have a 2006 Nuevo ES and the shower tap is as Paulmold says, standard shower mixer tap. Under the tap handle is a chrome screw cover, remove this, take out the screw, lift off the handle and there should be the cartridge. You should be able to remove the cartridge by unscrewing the body. Hope this helps.
