Water pump
Hi, I'm away on holiday in Cornwall and have problem with the water pump. It's running and curdling and water not priming through. Any advice would be great. I've rung mobile caravan repairs but no as got back to me yet. Paul.

Water pump
Can you give a good suck on a tap or the shower hose with the pump running to get the system primed. Plus have you tried switching the pump on and off multiple times.

I know someone who might have been able to help but that’s a bit too far away I’m afraid.
Have you checked that there is definitely water in the tank - ignore what the gauge says - as it’s possible for the drain pipe to fall off the tank when travelling causing you to lose all your water. It happened to me. Also, check your dump valve for the heater/water system is closed.
It may be just an airlock in the system so I suggest you turn on all the taps, one hot and one cold, and leave the pump running about 5 mins. Check under the bunk that there are no obvious leaks and see if you’ve now got water to the taps. If you discover a leak, turn off pump and dump the water from your main tank.
Good luck.

There’s a repairer near Redruth but you’d need to take the van to them. It might be worth a phone call.

Re: Water pump
Just to let you know that I've sorted the pump problem, it was the cap on the filter, it was loose and sucking in air. Paul.
