Tyre Pressures for 05 nuevo
We have been running an 05 Nuevo for the past eight years. However I am now trying to reduce the noise level that comes from the rear of the van.
This follows a holiday in Scotland and spending many hours on narrow winding roads, many of which were in poor condition.
I have reduced the back end weight as much as possible in an endeavour to carry the bulk of the weight between the front and rear axles, rather than behind the back axle. I think that the problem lies with the fact that there is a long hangover from the rear axle to the back of the van and this tends to whip up and down when encountering any bumpy surface.
My actions have already reduced the sound level and am now turning my attention to the tyre pressures. I know that the manual for the van version suggest 80psi, but as this is for a fully loaded working van i have been running at 60 psi.
i would be interested to know what tyre pressures other owners run at?

Hi, on the front of our AS owners manual is written 60psi front and 65psi rear, this has been written on by the previous owner at some time. I can't find the information in the AS manual so I assume whoever wrote it has contacted AS for the info. I run ours at 65psi all round and found it ok. BTW ours is an 06 Nuevo ES 4 berth.

I used to have an 06 Nuevo and before Tyresafe altered their chart to match Michelin, their chart gave pressures dependant on axle weights and for me that gave 60 front and 65 rear.

I also run with 65 PSI all round. I've tried higher, but it makes the ride harsh.

I also run at 60/65 psi, seems to be our vans optimum pressure. I have also fitted air assisted suspension kits, this appears to dampen a lot of road noise from the rear of the van, and makes the ride a lot smoother.
