Bourton BBQ point, no gas output
We have a Bourton, built end of 2015, first registered early 2016.
We used our CADAC BBQ on the external BBQ point as usual about a week ago on site and wanted to use it at home, so I switched on the gas in the wardrobe,
plugged in the CADAC and turned on the (Red knob - so it doesn't need replacing) external BBQ point and there is no gas at the BBQ.
I've checked the gas tank indicator and it is full. The wardrobe valves for the gas cooker and fridge were turned in the same direction and those both lit OK.
I know I've turned the external knob in the right direction, because you can't turn it on without the BBQ being connected.
I've tried taking the gas connector off the CADAC and checked and there is no gas coming thru there, I've also disconnected the male connector from the BBQ point and can blow thru it OK. I can also hear, and feel, the flow of gas out of the tiny outlet at the CADAC if I blow through from the BBQ point male connector.
So, I can only conclude there is an interlock somewhere that has locked but I can't find one to release.
Any ideas, please?
Dorset Delboy.

Re: Bourton BBQ point, no gas output
Was baffled. But saw this post today on another thread. It may be relevant?
Hi, Delboy. Yes I did manage to get it fixed. On my EK I turned all three gas isolation valves to the 'on' position. When I did this, the gas flowed to the external outlet. I'm not sure why, but I suspect the feed to the external gas outlet is fed via the Fridge and not by the feed to the Oven or Heater.

Re: Bourton BBQ point, no gas output
Thanks Cymro, it is very relevant.
It was prompted by my comments asking maj_069 (who suffered the same problem) if he had found a resolution. I'll clarify on here and on there in case anyone else gets the same issue. As an IT support worker in the past, I've had to put MY problem down as an 'ID ten T' issue, write that out and you will see it spells ID10T, which I've been!
There are three gas cutoff taps in the wardrobe on my Bourton, and as we were planning to use the gas fridge and gas cooker last time out, I turned on those 2 taps. When we needed the BBQ I turned on the third tap, but now I've looked at the pictographs on the third tap it is for the gas water heating, not for the BBQ. When we left site, I turned off all three taps in the wardrobe.
When we got home I turned on only the (water heating) third tap in anticipation of using the BBQ and it didn't work (because the fridge tap was turned off). In trying to diagnose this problem, I had even traced the gas supply for the BBQ back to where it is tee'ed off the fridge gas supply, and not realised that meant I MUST have the fridge gas turned on for the BBQ.
Problem solved, very many thanks.

Excellent! Your experience and discovery will no doubt be of benefit to others. I propose to check whether my 2015 van is similarly configured i.e. does the fridge gas tap control both fridge and BBQ socket? It'll be useful to know.
Thanks.
