Water Pressure Switch Location
Please can someone advise where the water pressure switch is located on my new Warwick Duo? I have looked in the offside locker around the water heater but no-can-find. Thanks in advance.

Re: Water Pressure Switch Location
Can you track it down by ear?
Mines under the sofa (albeit slightly different layout).

Can't be too many places. Under sink? Do you know what it looks like.? If not, Google 'whale pressure switch'.

Mine is at the rear of the heater box, screwed to the floor, hard to get to. I usually remove the heat shield to adjust it, easier to see it then.

Re: Water Pressure Switch Location
The AS handbook schematic shows it directly after the cold water tank so I reckon, as I cannot see it in the locker, it's under the floor. Will crawl underneath tomorrow. Thanks for responding. But I will also remove the water heater heat-shield to get a proper view at the back.

Re: Water Pressure Switch Location
I would have expected it to be mounted internal, like Mike L says, mine is also in the heater area and hard to spot. You should be able to locate it by the blue pipe work.
As a fall back, A/S should be able to help you out, just a phone call away.
Happy hunting.

Thanks much appreciated. I've got to call AS tomorrow as my tracker is creating a false alert almost every day.

Re: Water Pressure Switch Location
The hunt and adjustment of the pressure switch is now suspended as my new vehicle is off to Peugeot to have 5th gear synchromesh fixed. Failed at 350 miles and heard I'm not alone

Thanks Don I expect mine is the same. Need to get it so pump isn't running continuously on leisure battery even though it's fine on mains hook up.

Re: Water Pressure Switch Location
Sadly that's an adjustment most of us have to make.
Some people get lucky and find that sweet spot that works on both power sources, I've yet to find it, on any van :)
Sorry about the gearbox, what a nightmare on a new van :(

Thanks for that. The pressure switch problem is a small challenge but the gearbox issue is very unsettling when we have only had 3 weeks ownership. How speedily & efficiently it is remedied will be key. The dealer is involving AS to help put pressure on Peugeot and I also am speaking with AS.

Sorry I might be dumb with regard to the water pump but why should it run continuously and what this about finding the sweet spot between mains power and the leisure battery?

Re: Water Pressure Switch Location
No, you are not dumb. Th e pressure switch is there to switch the pump on and off. When you open a tap pressure in the supply pipes falls and the pressure switch turns on the pump. When you close the tap the pump continues running until sufficient pressure has built up for the pressure switch to turn it off. The pressure switch has an adjustment knob - too far one way and the pump will never be switched on, too far the other and it will never switch off. Somewhere between the two extremes will be a point where it behaves as you want it to without excessive run on of the pump to build up pressure. Sadly that point varies according to the voltage at the pump which is a bit higher when on EHU. The sweet spot is the point where the reaction is acceptable both on or off EHU. It is quite critical and may be within 1/4 turn of the adjustment knob.
I hope that explains it!

Re: Water Pressure Switch Location
The pump is switched on by the pressure switch when there is drop in pressure in the delivery lines (discharge pipes) to the taps. This should only occur when you open tap and let some water out. If the pressure switch is incorrectly adjusted it will either not switch on the pump or keep it running too long or even continuously. Because we are switching a 12v circuit the voltage applied to the switch when the battery is being fed by the mains charger and the switch is sensitive enough to be effected by variations in voltage. Finding a perfect adjustment setting is a case of trial and error. Hope that helps.

Re: Water Pressure Switch Location
Don't know if this helps but Whale have a pump adjustment procedure/fault finding sheet.

Re: Water Pressure Switch Location
Thanks for the explanations re the water pump with regard to 12volt and EHU I now understand. Also I must say that my pump only runs for a few seconds after turning off the tap whether it's only running on 12volt or on EHU. That is once it's initially actually pumping water, which can sometimes be a problem to get it started.
