Nuevo Truma Heater smell
Hi
This Nuevo is the first new motor home we have had so a steep learning curve over the last 12 months!
One issue that doesn't seem to go away is a horrible plastic smell when the blown air heating and the hot water are on.
One our first trip which just happened to be a few miles from the Dealership we purchased from, the heating/hot water system blew a fuse that I could not locate so back to the Dealer to sort.
Then again another return to have them look into the smell only to be told its new and will take a while to burn off.
Well 12 months down the line and getting fed up with the "while to burn off! "
Anyone else had similar issues and found the solution?

Four years on and we still get it occasionally, more from the hot water than the van heating. Can't offer you a solution though.

Our experience matches that of Askit, precisely.
There are several threads on this topic on the Forum. Whilst they make interesting reading, there doesn't seem to be a definitive cure. Not pleasant, but apparently not unsafe or of concern.

Re: Nuevo Truma Heater smell
Stopped using our Truna combi 6e for hot water ( see other threads on the subject), hopefully should be sorted at our next Hab check and service,(Truma agent ) if that fails ,I'm booked into their service centre in June.
