What’s This On Symbol ?
Is this ventilation built in to the rear windows of a Symbol and if so, is it something that could be retrofitted to the offside of a Kingham ?

The vents above and below would suggest the fridge is fitted there, but I’m certain the other side is the same.

wouldn't it be nice if it was a sliding window. Would really love to have had an opening window in the bedroom area.

I know the question has been raised before but I can't find the thread anywhere.

There is one either side on my Symbol, I just assumed they were some kind of ventilation vents as they are hidden behind panels on both sides.

I had assumed it was a form of ventilation as it only appears on boxer mini buses that have windows along both sides. As A/S convert a van with side windows I thought they must use the manufacturers mini bus base vehicle.

I reckon you are spot on, Pnefan.
The base vehicle is a window van, used normally as a minibus. These vents help give the benefit of fresh air to the passengers.
As for the vehicle's use as a motorhome, these probably contribute nothing.

If they are adjustable internally, one of those on the offside of the Kingham would be great for the bedroom, or even better, like @snow863 states, a sliding window would be better.Gram wrote:I reckon you are spot on, Pnefan.
