They provide a wider field of view, handy say for spotting an overtaking vehicle that would otherwise be in your blind spot.

So in answer to your question.....I look at them!..... winks

I have my near side small mirror set so I can see the rear corner of the van ,ideal for reversing around tight corners (especially walls)
Drivers set to see what tractor is coming to overtake on the way to McCains.

The small lower mirrors fitted to our Rienza are not adjustable. They cover the blind spots just over the drivers shoulder or half way along the near side. Traveling on the autobahns they were very useful. I am of the habit to glance over my shoulder before overtaking. You can't do this on the near side because of the way the body is built.
I fitted extra small mirrors to my Landrovers turned out farther than the standard ones to help when reversing trailers.

I have now set mine low looking down the side of van to wheels and rear end .... makes for much better use.

Thanks all.
