Fridge removal Empty Fridge removal

Post by Martyn2974 Thu Jan 31, 2019 2:59 pm

I have an ectrolux 3 way fridge in an autosleepers 02 Trident. The fridge has stopped working on 12 v. The problem appears to be that the live crimped lead has come away from the back of the switch. I can’tt get in enough from the front to push the lead back onto the blade connector so think I am going to have to remove the fridge and get in from the top. I have located the screw fixing points on the inside off the fridge however do I need to disconnect the gas from the rear of the fridge via the exterior vents? What else do I need to do to remove the fridge?

The gas is usually connected by a loop of piping to enable the pulling forward to be done without disconnecting the gas.

All done. The fridge is secured by 4 screws on the inside. The gas is supplied by an S shaped copper tube enabling enough movement to disconnect at the fascia switch.
Turns out the neon in the switch was not operating,so fridge was operating ok but not indicating at the switch !

Does anyone know if the Thetford N80 fridge in my Warwick can be moved forward far enough to replace the reed switch without disconnecting the gas please?
