Electric step switch jammed
The electric step manual switch on the panel just inside the habitation door has jammed. How can I take the switch off to examine and maybe replace it please?

The outer bezel prises off, to reveal fixing screws. The switch will then come out of the panel.

I had this on my Nuevo. If yours is the same as mine was, there is a notch on the underside of the chrome bezel and a small screwdriver can be used to prise the bezel away. Mine worked OK after I had replaced the bezel without any further action but I think a bit of PTFE spray could be used. Mine was OK in the warmer months and became sticky in the cold weather.

Are you sure it needs replacing?
I have had this problem twice and all it needed was a quick squirt of either WD40 or Thetford toilet seal lube. The problem was just that the plastic of the push switch was binding on the plastic of the housing. No part replacement was required.

The plastic plunger is in fact moving freely. It is the electrical contacts that are playing up sadly. Thank you once again for your help

Are you sure it’s jammed? Our step was replaced under warranty an it was later found that the step settings on the control panel could have sorted. It’s well documented on here 12/18 moths ago off hand
