Peugeot Boxer Mats
What do you guys use as cab mats, our Kingham has carpet in the cab area I would prefer fitted rubber mats that utilise the press studs to secure to the floor.
The carpet is showing signs of wear where my heel sits to operate the throttle.

I've got one of the overlay carpet mats , obviously doesn't use the studs as the carpet is still there but the overlay one doesn't move. It's the type thats sold at the outdoor shows.

Re: Peugeot Boxer Mats
I bought one of these to cover the entire carpet. With it being fitted, it doesn't need anything to hold it in place. I imagine they're available for the later model van.

Loads of genuine mats on Google or Ebay. Very pleased with mine. Some cheap, some not so, but you get what you pay for.

Re: Peugeot Boxer Mats
I’ve just put down a full size cab mat that I purchased from [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
It’s the walk through type, fitted, so it shouldn’t move, as it’s sized really well. It’s carpet, edged, with a heel patch. At £25 for the mat and delivery, I’m really happy with it.

Re: Peugeot Boxer Mats
I must admit I’m very impressed with the quality of the carpet, especially for the price. I only selected the standard quality, so was prepared for it to be thin and perhaps not fit too well. But this fits really well, is cut out for the floor shape, and is nice and thick. It means when I’ve been out walking I can jump straight into the cab without being too precious about it.roli wrote:We had one of Van Mats cab mats donks ago in our Executive (branded AS) and it wore very well in fact still like new when we sold the van 8 years later think our was more than £25 though!!

Re: Peugeot Boxer Mats
Unfortunately, the mat was lifting and catching under the pedals (dangerously, stopping the clutch disengaging). I asked for input but they said they couldn’t do anything. After giving them a poor review they then decided that they would replace it. So I sent the template off nearly a month ago, had to chase them twice, still no response.Sally wrote:I’ve just put down a full size cab mat that I purchased from [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

So, to cut a long story short, I’m more than prepared to write off the money as a lesson well learned, but now I need a good supplier recommending. My life is an endless cycle of shopping

Re: Peugeot Boxer Mats
I wanted a carpet rather than a rubber mat to cover the existing carpet to prevent slippy feet on pedals when wet and be a bit more cosy (personal view I know). Wary of spending a lot on something that might not fit or last long, I bought a cheapo off ebay from a place in Macclesfield (mycarmats). Pleasantly surprised by the fit and very hard wearing. Cost about £20 about 4 years ago and still going strong. Only downside is the pile tends to "hold" grass seeds and the like so every so often it requires cleaning with a stiff bristled brush.

Re: Peugeot Boxer Mats
Well I’ve found out this morning that I am in fact getting a replacement cabin mat. Apparently the template has been sat in the manufacturing department for a month, untouched!
So one less thing to buy. But now I’ve seen the step mats.....

I have step mats, they are safer I think when it is wet. The only thing is they are difficult to secure, I have used double sided tape. The dealer suggested stick on Velcro, am trying that next. They can't safely be screwed on as there are wires under the plastic trim.

But as a self confessed and unashamed spendthrift, I just can’t help myself

Why not use the existing step trim screws through the mat ? No danger of damaging any wires, and you are not making extra holes either in the van.
