[size=31]The E.E.C has decided to impose with immediate effect a dump tax on far eastern made electric bikes. This tax will be up to 83.6%. This is to protect any European manufacturers of electric bikes. Prices will have to increase substantially. We will be keeping our current prices until january 2019.

I cant see this ending well for the EU look out for retaliation maybe BMW Fiat Mercs etc nice big tariff on their products,
I also wonder how manufacturers use Chinese parts and just put it together or in fact have them made under their own name in China like Raleigh does

For sure, it's complicated, but Europe is a pretty powerful trading bloc! It's not in China's interests to antagonise the EU, because if both follow Trump down the trade war route, China has a lot more to lose.

The situation with electric bikes in China has been a bit of a fiasco (see recent news about huge bike mountains) so they have massive overcapacity - it's easy (and ideologically attractive) for them to dump at cost and obliterate the opposition...
