water pump
Hallo - new member here. Pump in our Trophy van works fine, but has started doing short 1-2 second bursts when it should be idle. Solved it overnight by switching pump off. Any ideas please?

Re: water pump
Common occurrence. Could be tiny leak, could be to do with water expansion due to the heat, either way it's to do with pressure loss.

Re: water pump
If it's only occasional then it could be pressure changes; if it repeats regularly then it's a leak. Note if there's no evidence of leaking water anywhere in the system then it may be on the suction side of the pump and hence air being taken in rather than water coming out. Either scenario is likely to get worse if not attended to.

return valve not sealing fully and causing pressure to drop

Re: water pump
If you use your hour water like I use mine ( only when I need it) as water cools it contracts and pump starts a couple of times until cool, since I fitted a accumulator I have noticed it does it a lot less,
If it does it when the hot water hasn't been on, it would suggest a small problem somewhere
