1995 symphony water tank
Well I’m up in the highlands and have just tried filling my fresh water tank and to my horror it’s not filling it’s just peeing out from under the ply board sheet. Thing is I was away in March and no leaks and I drained the tank when I got home. Could there be an airlock or something.Any ideas will be helpful I’m fed up filling water bottles

Yes frankit’s completely empty,it took a good half hour to drain in March. But now trying to fill it it comes back through the filler, that’s why I was thinking air lock

Re: 1995 symphony water tank
There is a breather on the tank, so there should not be any airlocks. its from the breather that water comes out when the tank is full.
What are you filling it with? [don't say water]

Hose pipe from a water tap on site.it takes about 3minutes accepting water then blows back through filler and leaks behind the ply. It’s not even registering on my water gauge even though I reset it in march

Are you absolutely sure its not full? don't go by the gauge they are totally inaccurate. I only ever set mine after filling up - and it's different every time.
You could try filling it more slowly - perhaps the water is going in too fast for the breather to keep up - although I doubt it.
Try opening a tap to see if air comes out while you are filling the tank?

Haha after timing all the caravaners filling there rolling tanks with the stop watch on my phone I’ve over filled the tank it took them 2minutes to fill and with them having bigger tanks it should of taken me about a minute. I will keep an eye on it next time I fill up Cheers again folks

Strange one i've not heard of happening before. As Frank mentioned the top of the tank has breathers so when full, water flows out there...or should do!
