Slimline waste water tank needed
Hi - just checking to see if anyone has a slimline waste water container for sale. Ideal size is 20-25 litres, but the main thing is that it must only be about 6.5” high, as it needs to fit under the camper, and the larger ones don’t fit.
My brother and I need it for a trip next weekend, and I can’t find one online.
It would need posting to my brother, but we’re not worried about condition etc.
Many thanks in advance
Sally

I've been corresponding with Sally about this and this photo shows the differene between different types. The slim one is the only one to give a flow from the waste tank.

How high is the slim one Paul? in comparison to the one I linked to?
The ones you linked to are probably better but are on auction and may not end soon enough for Sally - should she win one of them.

The standard black caravan one with red caps is 9" high, the Fiamma wheeled one is 10", the slim one (made by Thetford but no longer made) is 6.5" high.boxerman wrote:How high is the slim one Paul? in comparison to the one I linked to?

The description of one I linked to says its 170mm - 6.7 inches, just a bit deeper.

Re: Slimline waste water tank needed
Thanks to everyone for their help so far.
As Paul has mentioned, he’s given me a lot of help and advice, and I need the slimline tank at about 6”. The others are about 10”.
The trouble is my brother is in Yorkshire and I’m away on business, so we need to find one that ideally can be posted.

Just been and measured, When the waste is in its clip the bottom of the valve is 230mm (9 1/8 ins) from the ground. The container would need to be less than that to allow a slope on the pipe to facilitate draining. I think the one Frank has seen at 170mm would be fine.

Re: Slimline waste water tank needed
Quick update....
I took Frank’s suggestion, Paul’s photos and Roger’s van measurements and gave them to my brother, identifying the eBay models that fitted the bill.
My brother (bless his cotton socks) then had a small win on the Derby, so bought me “a special container” as a present!
When I’ve tried the container this weekend, I’ll let you know if gambling is a good thing or not. Bless him.

Re: Slimline waste water tank needed
I’ve tried but failed to insert a photo as described (only using mobile).
So, if anyone is interested, my brother bought me an Aquamobile 35L tank. It fits perfectly underneath and is low enough to allow run off, it holds plenty, and as he said to me, it’s got wheels because I’m a girl!
I’ve tried it out this weekend and it’s perfect, so thanks to everyone who helped.

Hi Sally
I've fixed it for you. (Real ale preferred - none of the lager rubbish!! )
Check photos on your desktop before uploading to ensure they are the right way up.
Should work OK then.

So do I Sally, but of course I'm far too polite to suggest such a thing!
