Fresh Water System Clean

I want to descale and clean the fresh water system on my Broadway using Elsan Fresh Water Tank Clean but have concerns re: the potential harm to the boiler. Does anyone have advice for this product or recommend an alternative?

Use it at the start of every season to clean out the fresh water system, never had any problems to date,, follow the instructions.
Some members use other none branded products .
