Credit Where Credit's Due
Having reached my first year of Auto-Sleeper ownership, 6500 miles and close to a hundred nights spent away in the Kingham, including using it right through the winter, my expectations have been met. After previously owning Bessecarr and Swift coachbuilts, I moved to Auto-Sleeper due to their reputation for build quality and I have not been disappointed.
The van continues to perform superbly as a warm and comfortable base for my sea kayaking and mountain exploits and is nearly as immaculate, internally and externally as the day I bought it.
I think the microwave housing coming loose has been my only complaint on the Auto-Sleeper side of things, which in the grand scheme of things, isn't a major defect and that was sorted under warranty, the only other couple of minor complaints being around the base vehicle.
Long may it continue

And long may a few more people take the trouble to post positive comments!
A/S are far from perfect as we all know, but it is nice to have a balance, eh?

Long may it continue indeed.
We are about to go the other way. Hopefully get our Swift next month.
We never had any MAJOR problems with our AS but i feel the constant little ones deprived us of our pride of ownership. They were not the reason to leave AS and we seriously considered another Nuevo. We are currently in a hired brand new Swift and we are finding different but similar faults, most of which can be blamed on attention to detail.

And many more happy nights away to you! We’ve just had our fairford for a little over 6 months and clocked up 6500 miles. I have to say many of those going between marquis and Peugeot ......it’s not all bad, we like you are really loving the van, and have also had a bessacarr ! Hope our water ingress via back doors wiill get sorted. Seals all replaced but it leaked again. It is nice to have good things to say about service. I can’t fault Peugeot , they have been great to deal with but are now probably needing to take van overnight maybe for more investigation as they can’t find the actual point the water enters and say it’s so rare for this to happen. They will give me a car for duration too, and change the oil under warranty as I’ve got that warning discussed on another thread. Marquis are replacing back panels too as soon as water thing is fixed, parts there and ready to go. Then we hope all will be well !

Thank you and I hope you get yours sorted to your satisfaction soon.Lorfal wrote:And many more happy nights away to you!......
Further credit where it's due, I'm loving this country of yours
Since I got here on the 11th, I've paddled alongside seals, watched loads of buzzards overhead, beaten only by the sight of a much larger sea eagle and my favourite moment was having a sea otter pop up just ahead of my kayak, with a crab in his mouth. He wasn't bothered by my presence and slowly swam to shore and disappeared amongst the kelp with his lunch.... and caught on video !
Red squirrels and waterfalls on yesterday's dog walk, with a shorter ferry crossing today for coffee and a scone.
I'm giving thought to a permanent move to the NW.

I think that may be down to me cutting your post down for the quote, as it was that short bit in particular that I was thanking you for.
