beckford water pump  Empty beckford water pump

could my water pump be a submersible as I cant find it anywhere and its playing up . 40 yrs of m/homes and still learning . no water so having to drink vodka ....

Probably.

What did it sound like before it passed away?

If it sounded like a propellor fizzing round, it's a submersible 'cos that's how they work.

If it emitted a high speed chugging noise it's most likely a Shurflo. They work by a diaphragm oscillating back and forth.

If it is a submersible and has busted for good or is just too temperamental, I would strongly advise getting a Shurflo Trail King fitted instead. Have a browse - there's lots on here about water pumps.

thanks found fault . while messing and bleeding I had screwed down top of regulator and water pump was trying to run constantly . now sorted and lesson learned . I STILL HATE THE FILLING SYSTEM THOUGH . that's got tp go .
