Frost damage
Despite draining down after every trip,it would appear the flush valve on our c200 toilet has suffered from the recent cold spell. I've blanked off the feed for now until I can get to fix it. I have often wondered if I should find a way of draining the flush on the toilet, I have no tank it's fed straight from the water system. Any suggestions to prevent this appeciated.

I am not familiar with your plumbing system - but I would have thought that when you drain your fresh water tank if, at the same time, you flush your toilet to get rid of the all of water remaining in its pipework would help. You will not damage the flush pump by operating it until it runs dry.

Mine is also fed from the main tank, like you I drain down after every trip. All the MH'S I have had with this system, have never given me a problem.
Once flushed I would have thought there is very little water left, if any.
This is only a guess of course, so not much help to you.
Leighton.

Re: Frost damage
Looking at thetfords video how to change the valve it appears the pipe connection to the flush valve (mounted on the underside of the bowl) has no clip on it, so I hope it’s just a pipe come off. The valve is around 35 to 40 quid.

Job done, it was the valve that had fractured due to freezing, just the pipe running under the van to the valley sink to change now. As the plumbing is push together and very easy to take apart of we have another -6 forecast i think I will separate a few pipes to drain water out of them.
