It' not a problem and is easy to do but I would not recommend contaminating your new tank with untreated water.

Yep - typed profile wrongly ! Don’t know how to change !
Water coming from same place - clean - our old Stanton was able to isolate the pumps but not so the new Bourton it would seem .

What do you mean “Water Butt”? I only have rain water in my water butt!
You should only use fresh water from the tap or transfer it out of a clean fresh water container otherwise you are in danger of causing all sorts of contamination in your on board tank!

Re: Bourton 2018
Do you mean filling from an Aquarol or similar?
You should have been supplied with two whale filling systems and you can connect either to the whale filling point. One has a submersible pump to drop into your Aquarol. the other is for connection to a water tap. Both are powered / controlled by a set of contacts in the Whale connector, but you need the 12V system turned on in the motorhome for them to work. The pump will run until your aquaroll fills the on-board tank when an internal relay will switch it off. Same for the connector for the tap, but it cannot know that your Aquaroll has emptied when your on-board tank is not full and the pump will run "dry" until you switch it off or disconnect it.
Hope this helps
