N. Ireland Aires survey, please help
Ards and N. Down district council (N. Ireland) are seeking information from motorhomers in order to evaluate the need for Motorhome parking and Aires provision in their district. This information may become the template or evidence base for other councils. There is a slow awakening in the whole island of Ireland to the need for facilities. I am working with the council and motorhomecraic.com to seek provision of same.
I would be pleased if you could find the time to complete the survey, even if you have not been to Ireland yet. The answers you provide will almost certainly be similar to your own motorhoming experience. Pass the word to other motorhomers if you can.

Survey completed. Great to see Local Authorities taking an interest in motorhomes.

I did the survey when Davy first asked. It doesn't matter if you never intend to go to N.I but if Aires get established there it may help get them in other areas of the UK.

Not sure we will get over to visit the area but I've submitted a response as anything that encourages LA's to consider better facilities has to be worth supporting. Conversely, a poor response may have the opposite effect.

You are absolutely correct Paul, it is the pattern of use that is probably common through out the British isles and further afield that is in my view a valid reason to complete the survey.
It is also likely that the survey will be used by all 11 council areas in N. Ireland, so the bigger the return the better the leverage.
I have also been sending the council links such as these,

which show the growth in motorhoming, and this link to the European survey done a few years back. It makes interesting reading.

Re: N. Ireland Aires survey, please help
Got a long way through the survey, but then realised it wasn't working properly.
It only let me use each number once in any sequence of answers. For example, if I answered with (say) a 3 on the first question, that number was greyed out in all the following questions, so by the time I reached the last question there was only one option I could choose.
Must be something at this end, as no one else has mentioned it. Shame, as it's a very worthwhile survey.

Re: N. Ireland Aires survey, please help
Yes it seems to work that way, putting things in order of preference.

Re: N. Ireland Aires survey, please help
Its really a preference/ranking survey for each topic - but it does make you think hard as to which service you consider to be more necessary over another.
Lets get some Aires in these lands - survey completed before Christmas!
