Reversing Camera Display problem
The reversing camera display on our 2016 Broadway has been giving problems since we purchased the Motorhome new. Most of the time it seems to work fine then for no reason the colours on the display break up and appear almost like a colour negative and the image is obscured. I took the van to the AS factory twice and the second time they replaced the monitor. It was fine over the summer but it has now started playing up again. Also, I have once seen a red and a green line on the display indicating the distance but the rest of the time there is no indication.
This is an intermittent fault so it is difficult to fix, hence the two visits to the factory. Has anybody experienced anything similar? Any suggestions?

Are you sure it isn`t the sun reflecting ? as at odd times I have had this.or dust / rain on the camera.I am used to it now., and drive accordingly.when it happens doesn`t usually last for long.

I suppose that’s possible. Never occurred to me to be honest except that when I took a photo of it and showed it to the AS technicians they agreed that it was a fault.

Re: Reversing Camera Display problem
I had the same problem with my Stanton. I actually managed to speak to an engineer at the manufacturer of the camera itself.
He told me it was a common problem with the camera, a poor quality model purchased and stuck on by Autosleeper. He said it's usually not sealed efficiently and eventually lets water into the camera...his suggestion was to bin it and have a proper camera fitted. I did just that, and had no further problems.
I actually installed a twin camera and a decent HD screen on the dash to get rid of the awful mirror one (just my opinion)- The result was fantastic, super clear picture, no interferance, option of sound and I had it wired so it was on all the time with the ignition.
I have just changed van for a newer Broadway and have done it all again...well worth the cost !!

Mine wasn`t an AS camera. mine is a twin camera, and 7" screen I am very pleased with it.

Thanks, that is very helpful and I may try and get them to change the camera under warranty. Unfortunately it means cutting a section out of the panel of the rear overhead locker to gain access. I went to the factory because they have better materials to do this than my Marquis dealer.
When you replaced the camera did you use the same wiring or is it a wireless fitting?

If you have it done under warranty they will stick the same low quality camera on....
I had Tom Pritchard at Tewkesbury do mine, he is awesome.
You should not need to cut anything away, he removed my camera then rewired the new one through the cavity. No cutting, no trunking...lovely job.

Re: Reversing Camera Display problem
AS factory and Marquis were definite that the access is through the back of the cupboard so it must be sealed from the inside. Different camera maybe.

No, they told me that too....Tom removed the old camera from the outside, pulled it away and mounted the new twin camera ...
