Re: No hot water
I assume that this is the trump combi heater.
You should get hot water after about an hour if you have the 1800W setting and the air heating is also on just ticking over. The combo heater heats the air which then heats the water so on the 900W setting it can be very slow.
If on water only (the summer setting) there is no heating at all this points to a temperature sensor fault.
I had a problem with ours where it would only work on the 1800W setting. This was because one of the heater elements had burned out.

Re: No hot water
Sounds as if you have the electronic control unit and I have only used the mechanical one. On the source switch there is 2 dots for 1800W 1 dot for 900W and then gas and gas and electric. The heaters have two 900W elements and either use both or one. The gas is 2kW on gas when only water is being heated and up to 6kW on gas (or 4kW depending on the model) The heats the air which is blown through the system and pass some of the heat on to the water. If you are on 900W only had using air heating the water hardly gets hot at all.
No valve or switch determines where the heat goes but there are temperature sensors that switch the gas and electricity on and off. The result is that the water will get hot if you heat the air and have gas or the 1800W electricity.
Try 1800W electricity and water only (60 ) After about half an hour you should get hot water and probably a smell.

I believe you can use gas and electric together to get up to temp and then once up to temp turn gas off.
