I think that because the cases of your switches abut the box containing the circuit breakers, there is no exposed wire so the circuit breaker is adequate protection for the circuit; as in the box in the picture I posted where it has the rocker switches that are equivalent to your external switches, built in.

Thanks Peter. I do wish I had a hatch in the floor of the wardrobe as in your photo as I'd like to be able to check pipes to and from the water heater.

At the risk of getting it wrong (not for the first time). The third photo posted by Peter looks suspiciously like the Ultrastore water heaters in both my Topaz and caravan.
The two lowest switches in Paul's photo are identical to (1) the gas operation of Ultrastore water heater and (2) the electric operation of the Ultraheat. The inner brown temperature control needs to be set at a high temperature to start the EHU powered heater.

I'm now trying to remember if the green light is on permanently or goes off when temperature is reached - in any to test, set the temperature to max and try individually 500w, 1000w and 2000w settings as they use different combinations of heating elements.

As soon as you turn the switch on you must have a green light. A fuse could have blown. Does your fire work on gas. I would get a trauma engineer to look. Most habitation engineers are qualified in working with Trauma. I know mine is.

The mains supply from the switch in the wardrobe that has the red light illuminating should go straight to the printed circuit board that is located behind the fire and shown in the information at the link above.
I'm going into the van to see if I can find installation instructions.

Yes if you scroll through the link until you come to Gary's reply it does give reference to not having the green light on the control switch. Gary is an authority on things Truma (and Carver). He does also mention the mains switch is worth checking connections inside.

Does your ultrastore green light come on. The only fuses l have found are under the drivers seat.

The thread is about the Ultra Heat additional electric elements included in the gas fire, you will find that earlier in the thread, I got confused and started talking about the water heater - soon to be reigned in.

Re: starting truma ultra heat on electric Nuevo
Just thought if the light on the ultrastore does come on it can't be the fuse. They surely are on the same fuse. If it's only the ultra heat green light that doesn't come on it's got to be a faulty switch.
