Solar Panel
Advice please. Not purchased a solar panel yet. But when I do how/where would you route a 5m solar panel cable, on the Kemerton. The microwave, sink, power control system, leisure battery and bench settee are situated on the offside of the vehicle. The power control system and battery are placed under the settee, the latter near the back of the drivers’ seat. The power control system [EC155] under the settee does not have a built-in solar controller. The wardrobe, fridge and power control panel [EC51] are on the near side of the vehicle. I was contemplating a cable entry from the roof, behind and above the microwave, sending the cable behind the microwave, down behind the sink to the floor, then through behind the sink towards the battery under the settee. I would of course have to decide where to position the solar charge controller, preferably within site.
But what do forum members suggest? An alternative route? Advice appreciated.

Re: Solar Panel
When I fitted a panel to my Warwick, I asked Mark at A/S if he had any advice about routes and he was very helpful and replied to my email very quickly.

Hi IanH. Not only have seen your post, I copied a link to it when you first put it on the forum. I've looked at the method and path you routed the solar cable etc and it is one of the options I might follow. So thank you for that. An alternative route which Mark at AS Service Centre has suggested, is a second option. He first suggested threading and linking the solar cable via the o/s rear locker to the power control system, but then said:
Mr Battersby, I did not realise that you have an EC155 unit, this does not have a solar regulator so you will have to fit one of these. With this in mind you may have to remove the upper o/s locker to run the cables through behind the panelling. I appreciate that this may seem a lot of work but it will be a lot neater to hide the cables. If your leisure battery is inside the o/s seat I would recommend fitting the solar regulator near to this.
As usual, Mark has been extremely supportive to me on this issue and like you well prepared to go that extra mile to assist other, perhaps less confident, AS vehicle owners.
