Re: TV for Sussex Duo
I dont know why A/s do not design and fit a dedicated tv cabinet like in our Kemerton to all models of van. When not in use, slide the tv on its mount into the cabinet , close the door job done ! Nothing to see to the casual eye! Dont know if I would like a tv dangling on a bracket a few feet above a worktop as you bounce down the pothole infested British roads!

Re: TV for Sussex Duo
It's a double edged sword. A lady died at the Peterborough show a few years ago because she couldn' attract the attention of her fellow ralliers when having an asma attack.
A single lady friend recently exchanged her new PVC do an older coachbuilt as she felt vulnerable unable to signal distress to those outside.

It's not above worktop, it's over sofa.kaspian wrote:I Dont know if I would like a tv dangling on a bracket a few feet above a worktop as you bounce down the pothole infested British roads!

Hi Paul - I’m getting things ready for my next trip, so I’ll be buying one of these.Paulmold wrote:Bracket was already in , no idea of make.

I want a quick release system, so do I also need anything extra, or does the kit come with all that is needed. It’s hard to tell from the descriptions on the Avtex site, eBay and Amazon etc.
Many thanks

Re: TV for Sussex Duo
Just thinking about your TV. We had a 10" Avtex in the van when bought which we replaced with an 18". The power cable (and aerial flylead ) went through a hole in the cupboard base to get to the sockets in the cupboard. I had to enlarge the hole to get the new TV's lead through (the TV end of the lead had a larger plug). If you haven't a hole already you could of course just leave the cupboard open and plug in only when you use the TV until you get chance to sort out the hole.

Agreed Roger, we have great fun watching people nosying in unaware we can see them but they cant see us!
Re TV, the TV is less important than the aerial. I have yet to find a good one which is NOT a satellite dish

Re: TV for Sussex Duo
We have yet to not receive a good signal from our Teleco aerial. Obviously depends on location and whether we are in a valley and direction of transmitter but have always had sufficient channels to be able to watch something. Last week in Bakewell we had nearly 200 but near Leek only 30.IanH wrote:

Hi Paul
I assume you originally had the aerial I now have...........[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Status I think.
If so what was involved in removing this and fitting your Teleco??
Thanks
